Dean’s Message

Happy New Year to everyone! Ready or not, 2017 is here. Are you ready?

Chapter members and friends closed out 2016 by enjoying a scrumptious dinner at Alfano’s Restaurant in Largo on Tuesday evening, December 27. It was a wonderful night as we all told stories of our Advent and Christmas schedules and marveled at the fact that we survived!

In November, a small but highly receptive group heard Jonathan Hehn play at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Clearwater. How wonderful it is to have such talented organists locally!

With the New Year, your chapter still has incredible programs for your enjoyment and participation! We highlight the organ (gee, what a surprise!) with more masterful playing by artists Paul Jacobs, Dwight Thomas and even our own members! January, February and March programs are listed in this publication and on our website. Please take note of them and make plans now to attend.

In April, we have the opportunity to visit organs at The Palladium in St. Petersburg, St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Snell Isle and an afternoon visit to St. Peter’s Cathedral in St. Petersburg. Meeting times and locations will be published as soon as they are confirmed.

Have you checked out the Clearwater AGO Chapter’s website lately? It is a most convenient way to keep up to date on all the activities of YOUR chapter! Visit to see the amazing information provided there.

I’ll look for you on Sunday, January 29 at 3 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (455 Missouri Avenue, Largo) to hear Paul Jacobs transport us with his dazzling talent.

Your Dean,
Stephen Allen
